The British spend £800M too much on mobile phone contracts

07 Jul 2010 | Filed under: Industry News, Telecommunications

Whilst looking around the mobile marketplace for myself (iPhone vs Blackberry, a hot topic amongst Auditel affiliates at the moment!) I came across an article on price comparison site Top10.com

Their research suggests that with some due dilligence the average mobile user could save upto £62 a year on their mobile bill. The final recommendation they make is something Auditel does as a matter of course via its Total Cost of Purchase® methodology. This is the retrospective audit going back at least 12 months.

Using Total Cost of Purchase® we review all of our clients costs to ensure that:

  • prices are fair
  • any historical billing errors are reclaimed
  • you are on the right pricing package (mobile minutes in this case)
  • you receive all the discounts you are entitled to

iPhone vs Blackberry? I think it’s the latter for me.
