In an effort to curb costs , the Charity Commission will make 60 redundancies over the next year. There has been a £900,000 reduction in funding for the commissionfor 2010/11, despite the increased demand for their services and that of charities in general during the current economic crisis.
Chief Executive, Andrew Hind, said that in real terms, the commissions funding was £5.5 million less in real terms than it had been in 2005/06.
