The world’s largest producers of PC’s has bought out struggling Palm for $1.2 billion. The move will allow Hewlett- Packard immediate entry into the smartphone market as well as an opportunity to bring innovation to Palm.
Sales of Palm’s handsets, the Palm and the Pre, have proved disappointing in a market dominated by Blackberry, iPhone and Nokia.
