Bank of England and poor forecasts

Well, Alan Greenspan never seemed to get it right to me, the BOE don’t either, so can anyone know what’s happening?

Bank of Englands poor forecasts have rained down on the City for too long – Telegraph.

We might sneer at the tales of old ladies who read tea leaves but they are no more right or wrong than than anyone else … of course when luck “proves” a prediction to be correct then that lucky person is pronounced a sage or guru.
