A business associate of mine is in the process of paying over £100,000 for consultancy services delivered for the year to date … I gasped earlier this week when he told me the sum involved and nearly fell off my chair – (my readers will know that as I am only paid a share of the cost cuts and efficiency savings that I make, I should, perhaps, be entitled to feel a little virtuous). My associate will have another c. £70k bill to settle for March …

I should not have been taken aback when we all tumbled off the train together at King’s Cross on Tuesday night … to find that I had travelled standard class, and the other consultants had travelled first class!

So it is with great interest that I see the following article today from the Evening Standard – perhaps my associate can sleep easy in his bed after all?
