The government has just announced that a new Broadband tax of 50p a month will apply to everyone with a phone line. It’s not clear from the BBC article how this will affect businesses. Would 50p be applied to each account, or each line? http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/technology/8270772.stm
It is being reported that the income from this tax may be used to fund providing Broadband in rural areas.
It may surprise some business users to know that Auditel have come across unlikely locations, even a major rail terminal, without ADSL Broadband and that we have then been engaged to source the most cost effective leased line. As data then becomes a more significant cost, it’s worth checking Broadband coverage before taking on new premises.
