Are you happy with your broadband service?

Ofcom’s latest report suggests all is still not well with business broadband users:

  1. 80% of users are satisfied with their overall service, value for money, availability and range of services
  2. About 50% said they had some concerns and frustrations, however
  3. Mobile users expressed satisfaction that they could keep in touch while on the move but many expressed significant frustration when they were not able to so
  4. 28% of businesses surveyed said that slow or unreliable connections in data and internet connections caused problems
  5. 27% of busineses were unhappy about poor quality or unreliable mobile conections
  6. Customer service was also criticised with problems not resolved quickly or the provider often failing to take responsibility when problems arose
  7. Just over 33% of respondents had switched mobile of fixed line communications in the past 4 years but only 24% had switched internet or data providers
  8. Many blamed complex pricing structures and the length of contracts as the reasons for not moving
  9. Ofcom said it is currently involved in targetting areas of customer dissatisfaction
