My greatest satisfaction is seeing how I can help make a business leaner and pull out money so that it can be invested in growth and profits.
My favourite question to clients is to ask them regularly what they have done with the expenditure released back to them.
My desire to help businesses I work with led to my being recognised by Auditel in 2007, winning The Outstanding Achiever Award, followed by the Auditel Consultant of the Year Award in 2008.
How did I get here?
After starting in the corporate hotel and tour operating industry, my career developed at American Express. I was an Award Winning Business Development Manager for major accounts including banks and city institutions four years running. I then ran a team of 15 Account and Sales Managers achieving new business of £21million and revenue growth of 18% from key accounts in one year, after which I became Head of New Business Development with responsibility for leading the top team of national sales managers, who acquired new business of £16 million in the first year.
After 8 years at Amex I joined BT where I was part of the key team which developed new affinity partnerships with Lloyds TSB, the AA, Royal Bank of Scotland and Eurodollar and which launched new pre- paid calling cards contracted with Thomson Holidays, NAAFI, AT Mays and Speedlink.
I left BT to help lead a new business in a telecommunications company, which we built from zero to £70 million turnover in 4 years.
